The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) program at Care & Dose Academy prepares individuals to provide essential support and compassionate care to clients in home care and assisted living settings. This course focuses on daily living assistance, patient safety, communication, and basic healthcare skills. Care & Dose Academy’s BLS Certification course equips students with the lifesaving skills needed to respond confidently in medical emergencies. This training follows the latest guidelines from the American Heart Association and is designed for healthcare providers and individuals working in patient care settings.
Participants will learn how to perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and provide effective ventilations. The course also covers how to recognize cardiac arrest, respond to choking emergencies, and work as part of a team during resuscitation efforts.
This certification is ideal for CNAs, PCAs, Medication Aides, nursing students, and anyone entering the healthcare field. Upon successful completion, students receive a BLS certification card, demonstrating their ability to respond quickly and effectively in life-threatening situations.
